Sit Up and Drool

Just wanted to post Jensen's new tricks. He is sitting up and drooling. Okay he isn't totally sitting up straight but he is working on that. This picture was taken the first night he was performing his new trick. Don't you just love his drool coming out of his mouth? Maybe only his mama thinks that his drool is cute. He is drooling a lot lately. Not sure if that really is a trick or just a nuisance. His teeth must be coming in, which I am not looking forward to at all. Jensen will be five months on Tuesday. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Jensen @ Four Months

These are just some pictures of things that are happening in the life of our four month old.

(Top Left) Quincy has been waiting so patiently to perform "the trick" with Jensen. This has been a tradition in their family that started with his grandpa. The poor helpless child is supposed to balance on his dad's hand in the air. Jensen's legs are not strong enough to do the real trick yet so we have improvised and do "the butt trick". Q is working with him nightly on it.

(Top Right) Jensen loves bath time. Lately he has been showering with his dad. He hasn't totally rolled over yet but he likes to rock back and forth. He was doing it a lot when I was took this picture.

(Middle Left) Our little couch potato. He is looking at the T.V. a lot more lately. He really enjoys watching his Baby Einstein movies.

(Middle Right) I think his shirt says it all! Jensen is on a four hour schedule and I love it! That means he eats every four hours and takes a two hour nap before I feed him again.

(Bottom Left) Our baby is going bald! Q and I never thought that we would have a baby with hair and we have gotten quite used to Jensen having it. He still is spending a lot of time on his back and it is rubbing off. Q made the comment that he looks like Charlie Brown with his jagged hair line.

(Bottom Right) This is Jensen at the doctor's office for his four month check up. Obviously before he got his shots.

Definitely a Walker

Today, Jensen and I were out pushing a cart at Babies R Us. I was looking for a baby gift and happened to go down the toy isle. There were these huge (to a baby) basketballs that say "Baby's 1st Basketball" on it. I showed it to Jensen and his eyes went full beam and he gave me the biggest smile ever! When we got home he tried to palm it but it is a little too big for him. If you hold it and shake it in front of him he starts laughing. He definitely has the basketball gene from the Walkers. He just can't wait to play dunkball with his daddy. Nor can his daddy wait.

The Office

Yup, that is my man. He is hard at work or hardly working, one of the two.

Now that I am retired I can call my hubby anytime I want to during the day. But now when he says that he can't talk because he is in the middle of something, I will wonder if he has just challenged the new agent to a whooping.

I found these pictures of Q in his email that he left open on his desktop and I went a snoooping. I think this would be a good episode for The Office. Q and I are excited for the new season to start. What other show makes going to the office look exciting? I think Dwight would be the arm wrestling champ on the show. You know he is a surpisingly tough farm boy. But Phyllis could put up a good challenge too!

Yummers!

Yesterday we went to the doctor for Jensen's four month check-up. He had to get three shots again but did a lot better than last time (Yup, his mama drugged him up on Tylenol). His doctor said that we could give him rice cereal in the morning and at night. I think Jensen is ready to eat food because everytime we are eating he watches us and just hopes that we share. The other night he wouldn't stop eyeing Quincy eat some string cheese. He even tried to grab it out of his hand. I think Jensen liked his cereal . What do you think?

Bring it on Mama!

That was Yummers!

Good Times!

We no longer answer to the Walkers. Just call us the Double Chin Family!

I can't believe that summer is almost over. I can say almost because we live in Vegas and get an extra month or two before it cools down. I just wanted to share these cute pictures of us at Grandma and Grandpa Haworth's new pool and the community pool. Jensen doesn't know what to think about the pool but he is starting to kick his legs in the water and smile while we are trying to cool down from the heat. He is a good man in the pool because he never cries.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Over Labor Day weekend we took Jensen to his first baseball game. Quincy's former college roommate, David White, had two extra tickets to see the Diamondbacks play the Dodgers. Knowing that Quincy and I are both baseball fans he invited us to stay with him and attend the game. We loaded the car and headed down Friday afternoon. David and Nichole have two cute girls and a baby just two months older than Jensen named Derrek. It was fun to visit them and see their new baby for the first time.

On Saturday afternoon we headed to the game. It was hat night, but as you can see they weren't just plain hats, they were Eric Byrnes hats. He is a player on the Diamondbacks that has blonde curly locks that hang to his shoulders or in other words a MULLET! Jensen was wearing a cute baseball outfit given to him by his Grandma Knudsen, that is until he had two blowouts. Jensen enjoyed the game by taking a nap on mom and trying to eat his toy baseball. The game was great (if you were a Dodgers fan). We got to see Manny Ramirez hit two homeruns, free hats and we even saw a lady try to pull a Fever Pitch move and run across the field, but ended up getting tackled by security guards. After the game we headed home. It was great to get out of Vegas even if it was only for 35 hours.
