I Really Did Scrapbook This Weekend

This past week the Silhouette Blog had a scrapbook layout challenge. They can always get me motivated to turn in a project when they do this. I am only about four years behind so this might just be the push that I need to get going. I am so tempted to scrapbook digitally but then I know how lucky I am to have a Silhouette and make all my own embellishments. It was really fun putting this page together of Jensen and his favorite dog Snickers (that is no longer with us but maybe he is smiling at these pictures from doggie heaven). My favorite detail is putting Snickers name on his Doghouse using the sketch pens. I love those things! Hopefully they will do more of these in the future. Taco Mater

Jensen has been a little into Cars lately, well for awhile, but I just couldn't pass up not blogging about him and his cars so I can remember this stage in his life (I hope it's a stage anyway.) I mean it was his first word and all so its fun to see that he is entertained by them still. He has his favorites for sure but it seems like the one that is lost somewhere in this house is the one that he wants. We have to look under beds, under the couch, or at the bottom of the toy bucket until we find it.

Jensen knows all their names even ones he doesn't have. He enjoys watching both of the cars movies. Not sure which one he likes best, it goes in spurts. His favorite book to read is a Cars book that he can read all by himself. He sleeps with his cars and even got away with taking one to his Sunbeam class this week. His teacher said it wasn't okay to have in class and I thought to myself good luck prying it from his hands.

Last week Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen sent him a new one for a Valentine treat. He already had that one. It's hard to know which one he doesn't have these days. So we took a trip to the Disney Store to trade it. He was in Cars overload looking at all of the choices. He settled on a Taco Mater even though we have lots of Maters around here. He was so excited about him he kept saying his name over and over again. We went to another store after and he would show people his new Taco Mater and tell them what it was. We even went to Taco Bell for dinner that night. It was a given.

What really cracks me up is the little things that he does with his cars. I found this on his bed one day. He also tips over his John Deere tractors and says McQueen has been tractor tipping.

This one he told me his cars were taking a nap. He even let them use his favorite blanket to cuddle up on.

This one they were all racing around the track. It depends on the day who the "fastest" one is.

Sesame Street Party

Saturday the kids and I headed to Jordan Sequeria's second birthday party. Fact of life: you don't want to miss a Sequeria birthday party. Quincy and I joke that they are like Billy Madison parties. Amy does such a great job she thinks of every little detail.  I mean she sent real cookies with a Cookie Monster card in the mail to invite us.

When we got to the party she had made shirts for all of the kids. Jensen was Bert and Lucy was Elmo. They both loved them. She also made them their own personal Elmo pizza's complete with their own Sesame Street sign to know where to sit.  She even had Elmo come to entertain the kids while the adults ate Wing Shack!

Lucy was totally afraid of Elmo. I thought it was going to be Jensen but he actually loved him!

Amy even does a thanks for coming favor for all of the kids. She sent home an Elmo doll and a real Dorothy. So we have a new pet at our house that the kiddos love! Thanks for such a great party Sequeria family.
