Bringing in the New Year in Utah

Can you get any cuter than this?

Oh wait. . . yup. . .

But wait. . . cuter still? . . . someone is missing. . .

Ah. . . three stinking cuties!
Lucy with her two favorite cousins Kadence and Ella celebrating the New Year!
{I have to post pics like this so you guys will read my blog! Its all part of my evil plan.}

Since I didn't get my Utah time during Christmas we headed up there for the

Big New Year's Bash in Provo.

Told you it was big!

We did have a great time even if it means just hanging out with the family. For New Year's Day my brother did take us (yes me, okay, one turn) sledding in the fields behind our house. It was fun being pulled behind the snowmobile even though I screamed most of the way. It brought back many memories when we use to sled behind the old blue four wheeler. I think those days could be why I hate the snow so much, getting whipped and dragged around just to see if my brother could knock us off.

Jensen wasn't too sure about all these clothes. I don't think he has ever had that

many layers on before.

But once he got outside he enjoyed himself.

This was my proof that I took a ride. Can you see me? Quincy is holding me down, by that I mean sitting on me so I wouldn't fall out. He's sweet like that. I am happy to report that my brother took it easy on me. No wipe outs.

Lucy was the smart one. She stayed inside where it was warm.

Most of the Fam

While we were up there we had real family pics. I just got them and will post them soon. Let's just say one of us {the one that wears diapers and can walk} was a

big, huge stinker in the pics.

We also got to see my niece Bryawna get baptized on our short trip. She was so pretty in her white dress. We are so glad we got to be with her on her special day.

Oh look who's a little happier for pics!

Some Beach

After a day in Disneyland we headed to the beach before going home. It turned out to be really good weather considering it was December. Jensen didn't know what to think about the beach. He wanted to get in since it was water but the waves and coldness of the water scared him a little bit.

He had a routine at the beach. He would run to the water with Quincy, get splashed, and then head up a hill to see me on the sandbank. Then he would run down and head to the ocean again. He did this many times during our short visit. It was a really good workout for him.

This is what I did at the beach and MOST of the trip. Thank goodness for hooter hiders!

Just the Four of Us!

Lucy loved being in the front pack. She got way spoiled being carried around all day.

Sharon and Jerry with most of their grandchildren.
Jensen loved posing. Can ya tell? He had had enough and was ready to leave without us.
Well it wouldn't be the beach without sand everywhere, and everywhere it was. It was sandpapered to Jensen and we couldn't get it off. The trusty baby wipes were useless. He wasn't too happy about this either since it was nap time and his bottle got dropped into the sand. Luckily we found a shower and got it off of him and the bottle. He passed out before we hit the freeway to go home.

Christmas 2009

I know Christmas was weeks ago but I wanted to share what our holidays were like.
We spent Christmas Eve in Logandale with Quincy's family. We enjoyed yummy food and great entertainment. Lucy helped out with the nativty story. She was a very cute Baby Jesus.

Jensen and cousin Kyler showed off by doing the 'Trick' side by side. They still got it!

We drove home Christmas Eve which made it our first Christmas at home since we have been married. It was weird for me not to be in Utah {it was my first away from home}. Jensen was funny Christmas morning. He had no idea that Santa had brought him new toys. He wanted to play with his old blocks. We finally had to divert his attention to his new toys. He wasn't too sure about the Dyson that was under the Christmas tree.
But once he saw it worked {by that I mean little beads rotate} just like Mommy's, he has vaccumed everyday!

He did stop to read a story to his little sis. He is working on being a good bigger brother.

He wasn't too sure of this toy either!

Lucy couldn't handle all the excitement!

After opening our presents it was a mad dash to get ready for DISNEYLAND. Quincy's parents decided to take the whole family and by whole I mean 40 of us. I am so glad that they did this! I don't know when I would have talked Quincy into taking us. We spent the rest of Christmas day driving and hanging out at the hotel getting pumped up for DISNEYLAND!
On the way down Jensen feel asleep eating his french fries.

Famous shot to prove that we had made it to the happiest place on earth.

Lucy got the memo.

Jensen not so much! This was pretty much his reaction to most of the rides.

He got better as the day went on.
We spent the morning in Disneyland then headed over to California Theme park for the afternoon. Quincy had never been here before. We enjoyed the big rides and the kid rides especially the new Toy Story ride.

Jensen loved the Bug's Life area.
Both parks were decorated for Christmas. It was a special time of the year to be there.

Loved the stylish 3D glasses.

Lucy even got a pair.

Both kids took a much needed nap but it happened to be during the Pixar Parade,
which was too bad because it was a good one.

We headed back to Disneyland to see the Christmas parade. It was madness!
This was supposed to be a great family picture with the castle in the background.
You know, postcard worthy. Not so much huh.

The castle was really pretty.

Jensen trying to watch the parade about ten people deep where we stood.

8:30 p.m. I think this says it all.
I couldn't talk any of my family into anymore so we headed back to the hotel.

We had a fun and memorable day in Disneyland and California theme park.
Thanks Sharon and Jerry for the wonderful Christmas present!

Big Brother and Jensen First REAL bath

Thank goodness for big brothers! If you don't have one I am sorry because they really are the best . . . Well most of the time . . . Wait, come to think of it mine use to pick on me and make me cry, but now he is the best.

When my brother came last month for Lucy's blessing, being who he is couldn't sit still and wanted to start working on our upstairs bathroom. He is always fixing something for someone. I just don't get this service very often since I live far, far away. So I was glad that he wanted to try and fix our tub while he was on vacation.

We haven't used our tub for over a year since it had a leak, thought we fixed it, but then it came back leaving us to shower downstairs. It ended up being a simple fix (for him) but we are glad Matt helped us out. He has paid up on some of his sister dues.

Now Jensen can have a REAL bath and not one in the infant bath that he has grown out of. He loves it of course!
