Presidents' Day

Presidents' Day isn't a holiday we usually celebrate in our household not because we are
ungrateful to the former men that have served our country, but because Quincy's company doesn't give their employees the day off.
Luckily someone mentioned dunk ball and Red Rock and Quincy decided to make it a family day. We headed to Logandale just in time for Quincy to join his brother's for some basketball. Later, we headed to Red Rock in Logandale.
Our little family (except for Lucy she was having a much needed nap at Grandma's) rode the four-wheeler out. If I could of seen Jensen's face during the ride, I'm pretty sure I would of seen a big smile.
Rocks!

LOTS OF ROCKS!

Jensen loved throwing the rocks off the mountain.
I got scared a couple of times he was going ito throw himself down too.

Trying to play ball with the cousins.

The ride home was a little chillier but I don't think Jensen cared at all!
Presidents' Day 2011 not too bad!

Honorable Mention

The winners were picked today for the Valentine Silhouette contest.
My banner didn't win.
Bummer.
But my Valentine card won honorable mention that I made for my
sweetheart Quincy.
Yeah!
I saw the idea on Martha, of course. She offered a templet but I have a hard time using scissors when I know the Silhouette can cut it fast and not like a second grade art project.
I used nesting hearts from the silhouette store and then edited them so they connected together.
Then I cut vinyl for the hidden message.

I hope they do another contest soon!

Little Miss Sassy and Her Brother

We had a much needed photo shoot after church yesterday. Lucy was seriously Little Miss Sassy at church in this dress. She walked into Young Womens like she was one of the young women. She climbed up on her own chair and wanted to chit-chat with the girls. Everyone was smiling at her.

It is funny to see her walk with her little legs in this dress. The puff goes side to side real quick with each step.

Giving her Mom the thumbs up!
Calling Grandma to thank her for the cute dress!

Be Mine

Oh I have just been waiting to snap a picture or two of this banner I made for Valentine's Day. My new camera came yesterday but I didn't find the surprise til late last night. I seriously have been taking pictures all morning of well. . .everything! I am in love with it!

Back to what I am blogging about. This banner is just my style red, black, and white with lots of flourishes. I love this too!
I entered it in a Silhouette contest. Cross your fingers that I win. I could use more rhinestones!

I Love this little girl too!

Lost Basketball Pics

My new camera is being shipped as we speak. Happy day! I am really getting sick of all the mental pictures I have been taking lately. No offense Jim and Pam, but it just isn't working for me. Like how I painted my front room with vaulted ceilings the prettiest tan color or the new Honda Pilot that we just got. Okay those things didn't happen but that is not the point. I wouldn't be able to document them even if they did happen. So I can't wait to have my left arm back.

I got back the SD card that survived the Lincoln highway this past weekend. Here are some of the basketball pics that I thought were gone forever. For some reason I can't get the videos to work. Serious issues.

Jensen pulling a Drew Barrymore at the game. At least it keeps him from running on the court.

Lucy with Hailee her cousin. This is the best part of the games for me when her cousins want to hold her and give me a break.

Dantley with his family after breaking the record.

Our little family with our cool nephew/cousin!

All the Walkers that were there to "Witness".

Lucy was loving her new t-shirt dress. She was running all over the place showing it off.

Jade trying to get Lucy to hold still for a picture.
This was at a previous game but I love Lucy's face in it. Good Times!
So thanks to the nice gentleman that found the remains of my mom's camera and returned it.
Hopefully I can get the videos to work soon.
But most of all I can't wait for my camera to arrive.
