Going to the Chapel. . .

This past weekend Quincy's stepsister, Jennifer, got married to Anthony.
It was a lovely wedding and reception held in Boulder City.

I can tell I am not my normal self since I didn't take too many pictures. Here are some that I did happen to take.

Too much excitement for Jensen. He had a cat nap during the first dances.

But he did wake up to do "The Trick" on the dance floor. He's not shy!

This will probably be our last family picture before little sister comes. Eight more days!

Baby Girl Tradition

A couple of weekends ago my mom and dad came to visit me and it was wonderful
to have them here. They showed up with this. . .

. . . a Moses basket with lots of goodies inside! It was so fun to open all those pink treasures. Quincy says our little girl is already taking over our closet. I tell my bump, “good girl!”

My mom found this Moses basket many, many years ago and has been storing it in her garage. She was just waiting for me to have a girl of my own to use it. I’m glad it survived all those years.
See, I was raised in one myself. It was my basinet, car seat, and stroller when I was a baby. Can you believe that my mom would just keep me in this to ride in the car? Thank goodness there are car seats now.

So I couldn’t let this tradition go to waste. I went to the fabric store and couldn’t decided what to get. I was thinking my typical black and white and maybe red but there really is a lot of cute fabric to choose from. When it came down to it, I fell in love with this pack of fat quarters.

Anyway, after two days of sewing, this is what I came up with. I actually made two bumpers so it could be used in the crib later.

I now feel like such a good mama this pregnancy. Jensen came early last time and we hadn’t even bought his crib or car seat. So this little girl that is coming three weeks from today {or earlier if she is like her big brother} will at least have somewhere to sleep.

Dreams Do Come True

Well, Quincy's do!
Last weekend he got to cross off one of his top things to do in his lifetime.
Visit Fenway.

As in the Green Monster, Pesky's Pole, singing Sweet Caroline during the eighth inning, Yawkey Way, rain delay featuring Pabelbon lipsyncing "Blame it on the Rain", homeruns and even hearing Dirty Water as the sox won.
(without me. . . nope not bitter. . . okay maybe a little . . . you would be too if you liked baseball like me!)

His brother Kevin and him got a well deserved boys trip to see two Boston Red Sox games and one New York Yankee game
(Oops - I think they were trying to keep that one a secret.)

Quincy had a great time and has been singing 'Dirty Water' all week.
So thanks Kev for taking him and Di for your great idea (really)!
