Oh my gosh my baby is NINE months old!

Jensen is nine months old today. I can't believe how much he has grown. It's hard to even remember what he was like as a newborn. He was such a monkey with skinny legs and long arms. Nine months later he still is our little monkey but has chubbier thighs
(Yes, he did get those from his Mama!).

Here are some things that Jensen is doing lately.
This month we had to say goodbye to the good ol' Boppy. Jensen has slept on it ever since he was born. We would find him sitting up in his crib playing when he should've been taking a nap. He also dropped one of his naps this month, going from 3 to 2 naps a day. Such a stinker!
He loves to clap his hands and taught himself to do this:

He loves to eat fingerfood. Cheerios and 'Lil Crunchies are his favorite. He just gums them because he still doesn't have any teeth. (I'm not complaining since I am still nursing.)

This month he learned to roll over from his tummy. He hates being on his stomach so I don't think he is going to crawl anytime soon (YEAH!). He does move though. When he is sitting up he will do 360's on his bum. It's funny to leave the room and come back to see him facing a different way.

His favorite toys are Quincy's old cell phone and used Propel bottles. He is always grabbing my cell phone and when I get it back it has slobber all over it. I think we gave in a little too early for this boy to have his own cell phone. I am not sure why we even buy him toys. These things can entertain him for hours.

He loves to give his daddy kisses. It seems like he is always giving them to Quincy easily while I have to beg for them. They are wide open mouth kisses that leave lots of slobber on you but they are so worth it.

It's Finally Happening. . .

LOST! We are so excited for the upcoming season.

Test your LOST knowledge here. Quincy beat me so I am a little bit bitter and won't post our scores. Let me know how you do.

The Brawl that Begins with a Prayer

Last Friday night Mens Ward Basketball started in our stake. What can I say except Quincy is pumped! What do I say? There goes my Friday nights for awhile. . .Okay let's be realistic those were long gone eight months ago, but now I can't stay in my sweats all day and have to wash my hair.
Actually I wouldn't miss the games. They can be very entertaining. Middle aged men running up and down the court, most of them red faced because they are out of shape. Getting mad over missed fouls or obvious fouls called on them.

The best part is I get to watch my honey play ball. He loves playing ball whether its ward ball or dunkball with his brothers. He is quite good at it too! Hopefully our ward has a great season.

This is my latest creation for Jensen to wear to cheer his daddy on!

Cardz!

Many of you might know or might not know that I am in a card club. Not baseball cards which my husband would love to belong to but homemade, cute cards. Each month the host picks two different types of cards that we all have to make. Then we each make twelve of each kind to exchange.

Last Thursday night was our monthly exchange. I can't explain it, but it is a high for me to show off my latest creation. Two whole days of staying in my pajamas, only stopping to take care of Jensen, leaving Quincy to fend for himself on dinner, and me trying to be creative finally paying off.

At the exchange we go around the table talking about our cards that we made. Okay, I am sure I lost some of you women talking about paper, but it really is fun. We eat really good food and enjoy talking to one another. It is nice to have a night out of the house. Those don't come so often anymore.

When I get home I look at each card at least two times. I always want to see if Quincy wants to join in on the fun but he seems to disappear. He just doesn't get it. Then I sort them and file them in my box of cards. This last exchange made my card box a little tight. Quincy says I could quit now. I think I will just go buy a new box.

I know I have no excuse for missing anyone's birthday, sickness, holidays, etc., but I just can't part with the cards because they are so creative. Very selfish I know. I better start sending them out before they take over my house. I am going to do better this year. So check those mailboxes there a comin'!

These are the cards I made this time. I can't take all the credit for making these cards. I do look online or in books for ideas.

If you want to see the other cards from the club check this out.
