TG 2013

This year Thanksgiving was a toss up. My whole family thought that they might come down to Vegas but a week before, they called it off. I wasn't feeling 100% yet after having Duncan so my family was thoughtful and said they would stay in Utah. It wasn't until after Thanksgiving weekend that my infection went away and not til December did my incision pain go away. Grandma Ivie said it best when she said I wasn't in my twenties anymore having babies. Very wise.

So without a place to go for TG, Kevin and Dianna asked us to come out to Logandale to be with them. We were very happy to spend the day with them. They saved us from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches plus we love being with them. We had really yummy food. This was Di's first time hosting TG by herself and she nailed it! Turkey was moist, had all the sides, and even had cute mason jars and festive straws to drink from. This is the only picture that was taken before the dinner. The food smelled too good to mess around with photos.

That day the boys played basketball, Lucy and Demsie made a huge chalk mess, and Di kept me company while I fed the baby.

Jensen has proven to be a true Walker. He has discovered basketball thanks to his Daddy showing him Space Jam. He shot hoops with Lucas all weekend.

On Friday. we went to the movies. Di offered to take the younger kids to Frozen while the other adults and older kids went to Catching Fire. Later that night we became "Team Peta" fans by watching Josh Hutcherson on SNL lip-synching to a 80's song. We watched it multiple times.

Saturday, hung over from multiple days of yummy turkey, we decided to be active and headed to Overton to play tennis. There were some good match ups but the best was Dianna and Lucas. A match that will go down in history. Later that night Quincy and Kevin played in the alumni game at the high school. Quincy was voted the unofficial MVP of the team (and not by his wife). That's my hubby!

The Line Judge - a job given to Jensen so he would stay off the court.

Duncan enjoyed his first TG and had his first sleepover at the cousins.
