Mom and Dad were worried if I wouldn't like the fireworks. What fireworks? I had such a great day and trip to Utah.

Jensen's First Fourth of July in P Town
Jensen's first trip to Provo was to celebrate the Fourth of July. He had a really good time. These are his adventures of our very quick trip to the beehive state.
I slept most of the way up. I started to get a little restless around Nephi. But I was just excited to see my Grandma and my cousins!
Finally a cousin just my size! Ally likes to laugh at me, she is such a cutie! We met the family at Brick Oven for some yummy pizza for a pre-fourth party.
This is me at the Freedom Festival Parade on Center Street. I was being fussy so my Great Uncle Brent held me just right and then I didn't think it was so bad.
After the parade we had a big picnic at Grandma's house where lots of family gathered to eat.
This is on our way to the Stadium of Fire!
Thanks to Grandma we had a great time at the Stadium of Fire. I am just not sure if I liked it when all those girls started screaming when Miley Cyrus started to sing.

Ouch . . . That will leave a mark!
So I was trying to be Handy Woman and put a shelving unit together all by myself. I am trying to get the garage organized so I can bring home all my school stuff. I was doing pretty good putting the shelf together, I even managed to get it standing by itself. I was putting on one of the last shelves and it got stuck on the side poles. I was trying to move it when it came flying down busting the stoppers off and pinching my arm. When I looked down to see what the damage was I only had two scrape marks. But then about five seconds later the bruise started to develop. I tried icing it to see if that would stop the bruise but no such luck. It can be seen across the room. The day I did it I had about ten different people asked me what happened. The funny thing is that I had a bruise on my other arm that just faded away a day or two earlier. I never did remember how I got that one. Now I have replaced it with a even bigger one.

Mama's Back in Business!
It finally happened! We got a new computer today using that wonderful stimulus check from the government. We had to put our former computer to rest after many attempts to revive it. Lately, I would have to hold the power cord while Quincy would work on the computer or he would hold it for me. You would have to hold it just right or the battery would start dying. But then even holding the power cord wouldn't do the trick anymore. Our friend Mike finally told us to get a new one because there was nothing else we could do for it. (Good news for me!) We have been without a computer for a week or two and we were losing our minds. I couldn't blog my activities for the past two weeks. Quincy couldn't check his fantasy team. Our life was in disarray. It's true you really do miss things when you don't have them. I would be going throughout my daily activities and think oh yeah I will look that up on the internet or I need to email, Oh yeah I can't, my computer is dead. But life is good now. We have a wonderful new computer that actually works without me holding the power cord.

2 Month Pictures
These are the latest pictures taken of Jensen at 2 months old. We had them done with his cousins in Utah over the Fourth of July. It was fun getting his pictures taken this time because he is smiling and holding his head up a little bit. He can still be just like one of those bobble-head dolls. I wanted to get a professional picture of Jensen in his blessing outfit but never got around to it. I am glad that I waited because of that cute little smile!

2 Month Check-Up
Yesterday, I had to take the little guy to the doctor for his two month check-up. I wasn't looking forward to it because he had to get shots. I hate when the nurse pokes him and since I'm the one holding him he thinks I did it. He looks at me before he lets out his biggest hurt cry and I know he is blaming me. Last time it made me cry a little bit. Yeah, serious first time mom. So this time I kept asking Quincy if he would take the day off to take him, but it just didn't make since for him to do that, so I knew I was going to be the lucky one. Luckily my mother-in-law came by for a visit just before I had to take him and she said that she would come with me. I didn't even have to trick her into coming with me. So off we went to the doctor's office.
After an hour wait we finally got to see the doctor. Jensen weighed in at 11 pounds 10 ounces (in the 50 percentile for his age) and 22 inches long (23 percentile). The doc said genetics don't kick in until 6 months so we won't give up on our future basketball star yet. Next he had to get his shots. He had to get three of them. The doctor said that with three pokes it was less likely for them to get a fever or be fussy afterwards (Yeah right. . . keep reading). That sounded good to me even though he had to get poked three times. Luckily the nurse was fast, two shots in one leg and one shot in the other. He did let out a big cry but calmed down after 3o seconds. I did okay and didn't even cry. I was so proud of myself I thought I deserved a prize for my bravery.
Later when Jensen and I got home I gave him a feeding and he was so happy so I filmed him. This is Jensen a couple of hours after the doctors office.
He is so happy I didn't think that the shots were going to affect him. Boy was I wrong. He started to get tired so I laid him down for his evening nap. I knew that he was tired because all of his naps that day had been interrupted. He was crying a little bit harder then usual so I picked him up (Not Babywise . . .Oh well). At this point Quincy came home from work to see me holding the little guy. He tried his magic to comfort the little guy but by now he was crying his hurt cry. He kept crying. This is not normal. He doesn't fuss much. After much debate what to do. We gave him some Tylenol. Any way we tried to hold him, he couldn't get comfortable. Finally he feel asleep on Quincy.
We thought that we were in the clear. I fixed Quincy a dinner plate and traded him for the little guy. This was not a good idea. Jensen woke up but he wasn't just crying anymore, he was screaming. He was not happy. Quincy ended up giving him his first priesthood blessing to calm him down. We also called the doctor. He told us to give him more medicine. This seemed to help him and he finally had a good nap while I held him. He woke up around nine and was back to his happy self. We are so glad to have our little man back. We think we are going to skip his next round of shots!
