Lucy's Disneyland Adventure

Lucy finally graduated car seats just in time for Disneyland. She loved sitting forward. How do I know? Because she can now be more demanding because she can see me.

Lucy and her cousins all got cute autograph books from Grandma Knudsen so it was our goal to fill them up. We didn't even come close but we had fun trying.

Her first Merry-Go-Round ride.

Day 2

We started the Day off in Toon Town. Goofy was the best character for sure. He kept playing peek-a-boo with her.

Minnie Mouse's house. I made her these ears to wear before we left. She didn't like keeping them on and even tossed them off while in the stroller. I luckily noticed before we got too far.

Lucy liked Minnie Mouse's nose and kept grabbing it.

Lucy with her cousin Kadence. They looked so cute. We sure missed the other Minnie Mouse cousin Ella.

Side note: The Minnie Mouse costume didn't last all day due to a huge blowout!

One tired little girl. . .

But not for long!

Lucy's favorite ride without a doubt was "It's a Small World". She kept dancing to the beat and loved looking at all of the Christmas lights. While we were standing in line they had a special lighting of the castle and they even made it snow!

I know this last picture isn't about Lucy but I love this picture of my mom. She loves Disneyland if you couldn't tell. It's thanks to her that we even went on this trip. Love you Mom!

Jensen's Disneyland Adventure.

Jensen calling his friends to tell them he made it to Disneyland alright and maybe brag just a bit too.

His first impression of California Theme Park this trip was Mater and Lightning McQueen. Could it get any better?

Jensen waiting for the Toy Story ride. This was our longest wait but always well worth it. Jensen even tried to play along with Buzz and Woody.

Waiting patiently while we went on California Screaming. We are so thankful to my parents for watching the kids while Quincy and I went on the rides.

We stopped by to see Santa. Poor Kayley got nominated to hold him hostage. I think he won.

Next up Bug Land.

He cheated a little bit when the guy measured him to go on this ride. Quincy said he didn't make the height but right when the guy measured him he lifted up his chin and the guy let him go.

Yes Flick already called me and asked for his 3d glasses back.

We tried the monkey leash with him. It didn't last too long but was super cute on him.

The highlight of the day for Jensen was the Pixar parade. He loved getting showered with bubbles. Then to top it off McQueen and Mater were the grand finale.

Grandma Knudsen gave him the perfect souvenir. A Lightning McQueen light spinner. He learned to push the button and had it going most of the night.

Had to go on the Merry-Go-Round one more time.

Day 2

Jensen found a car in Toon Town believe it or not.

Wasn't too sure about Mickey Mouse.

In the afternoon the kiddos were both worn out. Their thoughtful Grandpa put them to sleep by walking them around while their parents were on Space Mountain.

To end the trip we went on all of the classic Disneyland rides.

Peter Pan still wins every time!

Young Women Values Subway Art Style

A while ago on one of my shopping outings I saw the 8 Young Women values written in boring black vinyl. I thought that was a good idea but thought it could be better especially since each value obviously has a color to go with it. So I came up with this colorful subway art for my beehives Christmas gifts. Luckily, I only have four because it was a little time consuming. But it turned just how I wanted it too!

1. I spray painted (yes I told you that is my answer to most things) cheap frames that I got from DI and removed the staples from the back of the frames.

2. Next I figured out how the words were going to fit on the glass frame on the silhouette software.

3. Then I cut each value word in the coordiating color of vinyl and attached it on the glass. (I turn the frame around so I can see where the frame hits the glass.)

4. Then I just kept putting the values on until I had all 8 done.

5. Glued the back of the frame down along the edges with hot glue. You can tell my glue gun gets used a lot!
