Such a Good Day!

Well I should say week since it started on Saturday with Quincy taking me birthday shopping. He didn't even complain {outloud anyway} about going to my favorite outlets. Here I picked out a swimsuit {yuck!}, not just a normal swimsuit but a maternity one {double yuck!}. That night he took me out to dinner to satisfy one of my pregers cravings, Red Robin. Oh those spicy fries with actually fry sauce, which is not an easy thing to find down here in LV. Jensen loved them too!

Then last night he handed me this. My absolute favorite cheesecake in the world. He said it was from Jensen. How did he know? Oh you know you want one. . . I want another one!

This morning Quincy gave me the best present ever! He got up with Jensen at 5:45a.m. this morning and gave him his bottle {taking formula now, yipee after three weeks of no milk} letting me sleep in! Oh the day could of have just ended there, but instead Quincy made me french toast. So yummy.

The day was full of birthday wishes from friends and family. Such a good day!

Welcome to the Fair!

This past weekend was the Clark County Fair held in Logandale. Quincy's family all tries to come out to enjoy the fair and a little dunkball too. It was a weekend full of carnie rides, po-po sandwiches (pulled pork, so yummy), and a funnel cake to top it off!

This was Jensen's first fair and he seemed to enjoy just being in the stroller looking at all the people and lights. He did go on his first carnie ride. He seemed to have a love/hate relationship with the ride. His cousin Andrew tried to comfort him. He did enjoy the merry-go-round since his mama was right there to hold him.

Every year it wouldn't be complete without the daddies trying to win their kids a stuffed animal. This is Quincy's second attempt. {Sorry about the crazy lady laughing in the background, she comes around everytime I film.}

He only had to make two to get the big daddy prize but he showed them up. We were so proud of him. I think the carnie worker was more surprised than all of us. He hadn't had a big winner all day and asked us if we had a knife so that he could cut the stuffed animal off of the stand. This is what Quincy picked out for his prize. Luckily our nephew traded us for a much smaller stuffed monkey, which I was glad about since this dog would have taken up our whole front room.

This is our tough six year old nephew, Luke, mutton bustin'. It was hilarious watching these mighty little cowboys and cowgirls hold on for dear life. This was his first fair to do this. He ended up winning $21 dollars and a couple of t-shirts. I think they are going to join the circut and travel all of the fairs after this.

It ended up being a great fair despite the bad weather on Saturday. The rain didn't stop the brothers from playing their annual dunkball games. They all came back with dirt lines rather than tan lines.

The Easter bunny left this for Jensen while we were at church.

Crawling For Real This Time

My freedom is over as I know it and Jensen's has just begun!

Buddy is 2 for 2 on his yearly goals that we set for him. His first goal was to get a tooth before his ten month birthday. A couple days before his ten month birthday we could feel his first tooth poking through. His other goal was to crawl before he was a year old. Well, he is just over eleven months now. Way to go Buddy on your goals!

Now if only the other two people in the household could say they were 100% on their goals. Mine were out the window a couple of months ago. Pre-pregnancy weight before my birthday {yeah right}, vigorous workout 4 times a week, {maybe I need vigorous defined for me} and sweets only on Sunday {I must of thought I said sweets on everyday but Sunday}. I guess there is always next year.

My Fantasy Player

Monday night was Quincy's Fantasy Draft. Now you might be thinking something nasty, I know I would be if I didn't know better, but in reality it is his online fantasy baseball draft where they become General Managers of their own team made up of players from all of the different baseball teams. Quincy and his brothers have been doing this for years. It is a never ending hobby that he has. Basketball hasn't even stopped {since he is in the championship, go babe!} before baseball starts, then it's back to basketball in the fall. I can't complain since he doesn't leave me to go shoot Bambis like my brothers do to their wives or spends a lot of money on hobbies like I can with scrapbooking and making cards. It was ten dollars for him to play the whole season which brings him lots of entertainment over the summer.

Draft night is a huge night to say the least. Nothing comes in the way of it, even birthdays {sorry Di}. They prepare many weeks in advance on who they are going to take for their 25 picks. The whole draft lasted two and a half hours not counting predraft trash talk. I didn't mind since I had a project or two of my own to work on {Jensen and Cards}.

I just have to say that once Quincy put me before the draft. Our first date which was actually four years ago to the day, April 1st. He had asked me out to a baseball game before realizing that the draft was that night. I didn't comprehend the sacrifice made by him till months, maybe even years later.

Every year Quincy gets some of my Atlanta Braves players. All season long I hear how my Braves let him down {I am just used to the fact}. This is a very common topic between the two of us since he calls me his Assistant General Manager. This year he finally listened to me and didn't pick any Braves. I think it is going to be a better season for me at least. He hasn't won a baseball trophy since 2000. I think this is his year! Go Chubby Cubby !
