All That's Left is a Band of Gold
Remember when I blogged last time about my swollen fingers? Well I didn't know how swollen they really were because stupid me {which I blame totally on the pregnancy, not a dumb blonde moment} didn't take off my wedding band. I should have taken this off months ago. I did that last time when I was pregnant with Jensen. Why did I think that I could get away with slipping it off with ease at nine months along with only four days before I go in for a c-section? {It's all the pregnancy!}
When the lotion and dish soap weren't budging it, Quincy researched online some solutions to get it off.
The first night was Windex {What the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"?} It only made my finger smell clean. I also held my finger between two ice packs above my head for about ten minutes. I wonder if Quincy really read this or just wanted me to look silly. Well silly succeeded but all attempts to get the ring that night off failed.
The second night he had researched some more and decided dental floss was the way to go. Wrapping it up tightly around my finger trying to squeeze the fat somewhere. The only thing this did was turn my finger purple and more swollen. Ouch!
Today my Sister-in-Law, Di, came in to Vegas and she tried dental floss and ribbon but both with the same result. I think I had enough torture and was ready to drive myself to the jeweler to get it cut off, {my ring, not my finger}. I knew that I might never get my ring fixed depending on how much it was to get it repaired but I didn't care at this point. I just wanted it off.
We went to a jewelry store and the nicest man helped us. He had a neat tool that sawed it off. We asked if this happened often. He said they get two to three {brain-dead} pregnant women a month needing this service. Yup that's me!
It was instant relief after it came off. Six hours later my finger still has an imprint.

To Miss or Not Miss
10 Things I am going to MISS and NOT MISS about being pregnant.
- Not Miss – Not touching my feet without getting light-headed and feeling like I am going to pass out. Thank heavens I have a thoughtful sis-in-law that painted my toes for me.
- Miss - I can get away with eating a dessert after breakfast.
- Not Miss – Chubby fingers and ankles even though they aren’t half as bad as last time.
- Miss – Quincy taking me for a tasty treat when I say I am craving one. {I think he is going to miss that one too.}
- Not Miss – Wearing these pregnancy clothes. It seems like I have been in them for 2 years. I feel like I'm in a bad episode of “What Not to Wear” everytime I look in my closet.
- Miss - Getting to blame everything I forget or stupid things on the pregnancy brain. I think most of these moments would just be my typical blonde moments, but since I am pregnant everyone nicely blames it on the baby.
- Not Miss - Only being able to sleep on my side. And what’s up with all the drooling?
- Miss – Taking 3 hour naps with Jensen, with no guilt. I know these won’t be happening ever again.
- Not Miss – Sneeing! (sneeze & pee) which is usually accompanied with the Michael Jackson hold to try to prevent. Very lady - like might I add, especially in public.
- Miss – Her kicking inside of me but at least I will get to hold her!
